AngelList Talent
Our mission is to bring world-changing teams together.
Today, AngelList Talent is the world’s largest network of startup talent. Over 100,000 startups of all sizes—from Flexport, to Figma, to Facebook—have used AngelList Talent to build their teams. In 2018, over two million candidates—from CTOs to interns—used our tools to apply for jobs, while millions more used them to research their next move.
AngelList Talent operates independently alongside AngelList Venture and Product Hunt. Each company within the AngelList family is focused on addressing a challenge to startup success: building the right team, connecting with the right investors, or launching your next product.

How you’ll work
As our inaugural user researcher, you will own and shape AngelList’s research practices and augment our ability to ship fast. You will plan and execute generative research so that we can deeper understand the goals and experiences of our users and find new opportunities for our products. Additionally, you will work directly with product managers and designers to conduct and support evaluative research at various points of the product lifecycle.
Specifically you will:
* Be our first researcher. While our PMs and designers have conducted (and will continue to conduct) user research, we expect you to take the charge in formalizing and streamlining most of this process.
* Manage and own the knowledge base for all of AngelList’s research. Designers will come to you before starting a study and depend on you to prevent duplicative work.
* Collaborate with our recruiters to recruit, screen, and schedule participants.
* Support the immediate needs of PMs and designers on concurrent studies, including planning, writing scripts, assisting user interviews, analyzing and synthesizing findings, and making recommendations to the team as the domain expert.
* Proactively identify, prioritize, and investigate research topics based on company goals and gaps in understanding.
* Foster shared understanding of UX research best practices.
